Jordan is an experience that will either become a remarkable ‘forever’ memory or a journey that you would crave to experience time and again. It is a Middle Eastern ethereal gem that transcends your heart and soul into a space-time where all things feel, just perfect.
Iceland has been blessed with the ability to turn the commonplace into the exceptional. Your arrival at this magnificent destination that has been topping wish list of spirited travellers for years now and is marked by the infectious sparkle of its capital. Get ready to groove to the tune of electrifying Reykjavik.
After breakfast we arrange a transfer from your centrally located hotel to vehicle pickup location located in the outskirts of Reykjavík. After a quick briefing you will know the basics of the car and will be able to tackle the diverse conditions you will face over the next two days. With the power of the Land Rover Defender 4x4 in your hands we depart from Reykjavík, heading out of the city to explore the Borgarfjörður area. Lunch in Húsafell before we continue to explore Langjökull glacier including a trip to the magnificent man-made ice tunnel. The glacier is a great area to test our 4x4 vehicle and your skills of driving on ice! Evening arrival at our hotel where we enjoy dinner.
After breakfast, we enjoy a snowmobiling tour on Langjökull glacier before we depart on the 4x4 Land Rover Defender towards the historic Thingvellir National Park, home of ancient Icelandic Viking parliament that is registered in UNESCO world heritage site. An indescribable nature with the biggest lake in Iceland. Next, we will visit interesting sights of the Golden circle; Gullfoss waterfall and Geysir geothermal area where Strokkur hot spring spouts water many meters up in the air. We head into the highlands to test the 4x4 vehicles in the Hagavatn area before heading to our accommodation in the evening in time for dinner.
We drive through Hrauneyjar and all the way down to Þjórsárdalur valley. We make some photo stops on the way, first at Háifoss the second highest waterfall of the island that drops here from a height of 122 m. Then we drive to the gorgeous canyon called Gjáin and the Hjálparfoss waterfall. Overnight stay at Hotel in Hella
After breakfast checkout and drive towards Eyjafjallajökull, a well-known ice cap. Ice covers the caldera formed by a volcano. The summit elevation stands at 1,651 metres (5,417 ft). Highlight of the day is the driving on the highlands and then drive towards the south coast to visit the world-famous Diamond Beach, which has diamond like clear ice on the beach giving it the name. Overnight stay at hotel in glacier lagoon.
Post Breakfast we drive along the South coast passing small Icelandic farms exploring the highlights of the area, such as Vík village, Reynisfjara black sand beach, Dyrhólaey peninsula, Skógafoss waterfall and Seljalandsfoss waterfall. Arrival back in Reykjavik in the evening.
Morning transfer to the Blue Lagoon where you will enjoy bathing in the famous milky blue waters. Afternoon at leisure in Reykjavik to explore the city or do some shopping etc. Return and overnight stay at Reykjavik.
Post breakfast transfer to the airport for flight back home.
