Itinerary

Welcome to Windhoek, the capital city of Namibia. Surrounded by the stubble-covered Auas Mountains and the endless Khomas Hochland, Windhoek lies in a long valley fed by ancient hot springs in the central highlands of Namibia. In Windhoek, there are many interesting historical buildings, museums, galleries, and craft shops. The city has several good restaurants and modern shops and services making it an excellent base camp from which to launch your Namibian adventure. The town itself is small as capitals go with around 2,30,000 inhabitants making up a little over 10% of the national population. Overnight stay at Windhoek.

Namibia is waiting to welcome you with open arms so wake up, grab a bite, pack your bags, You can sit back and enjoy the drive from Windhoek towards Sossusvlei and you will notice a dramatic change in landscape just a few km after leaving Windhoek behind. The route will go via the beautiful Spreetshoogte Pass where the view from the top of the escarpment is stunning. You will also make some more photo stops along the way to admire the remote, rugged, and rustic beauty of the Namibian countryside. Arrive in Sossusvlei by evening and enjoy a luxury dinner over interesting conversations about your first day in Namibia. Overnight stay at Sossusvlei

Wake up early and start your guided excursion to Sossusvlei. Renowned for its red dunes, the highest in the world rising 300m into the air, and for the stark images of 900-year-old trees standing defiant flat, white dried salt pan known as Deadvlei, Sossusvlei is one of the most spectacular sights in Namibia. In addition to the dunes, you will also explore the Sesriem Canyon. Sossusvlei brings out the creative photographer in everyone - provided you beat the mid-day haze. Surreal shapes, colors, textures, and landscapes are accentuated by ancient trees and desert-adapted wildlife like gemsbok, springbok, and ostrich. Overnight stay at Sossusvlei

Today is going to be long open, and empty stretches of country roads amidst the rugged yet stunning Namibian landscapes. You will make a photo stop as you cross the Tropic of Capricorn today and if time permits, will take a detour via Ganab to the Welwitschia plains and the gorgeous Moon landscape. Lunch will be picnic-style somewhere in the middle of nowhere and by evening, you will reach Swakopmund where you will check into your hotel after having spent an exciting day on the road.Overnight stay at Swakopmund

Surrounded by the ancient Namib desert and the inhospitable - but bounteous - Atlantic Ocean, the towns of Swakopmund and Walvis Bay are alive with activity and adventure. You are going to spend Your afternoon experiencing an adrenalin-pumping 4x4 drive in the sand dunes of the Sandwich Harbour (any experience of Dune Bashing anywhere else in the world is about to fade out from your memory)! A part of the Namib Naukluft Park, Sandwich Harbour is a place many have heard of but very few have ever visited. It is one of Namibia’s most unique and dramatic sites where some of the world’s highest dunes descend into the cold Atlantic Ocean to form a picturesque lagoon. Overnight stay at Swakopmund

Get ready for a long day on the road as you head north towards the Etosha National Park. You will make the most of your time on the road by taking regular photo stops, tea breaks, and a lunch break in the town called Otjiwarongo, home to the Cheetah Conservation Fund, an international organization dedicated to ensuring the long-term survival of the Cheetah. After lunch, you will continue towards Etosha and arrive at your luxury lodge just in time to sip a sundowner before enjoying lunch under an African starlit sky. Overnight stay at Etosha South

Wake up early and head out on a full-day safari tour in a custom-fitted vehicle with an expert ranger in the Etosha National Park, Namibia’s premier safari destination. Etosha is one of the few places, maybe the only place, where some of the best game viewing would be during the heat of the day when plains game in their hundreds congregate at the waterholes to drink. It is not uncommon to see up to 7 different species of game at any waterhole. Wildlife you are likely to see, at close quarters if you spend some time at the waterholes, includes rhinos - both black and white - and the endemic black-faced impala and Damara dik-dik. The Namibian trademarks, gemsbok and springbok, are common and there are good numbers of southern Africa’s big game including elephant, lion, leopard, cheetah, caracal, brown, and spotted hyena, eland, roan, kudu, wildebeest, red hartebeest, Hartman’s Mountain (only in the west) and Burchell’s plains zebra, and black-backed jackal. Overnight stay at Etosha South - Hotel - Etosha Safari Lodge or Similar

On the final day of your Namibia adventure, you will journey to Windhoek. Along the way, you'll pause for lunch at Outjo's renowned bakery. Upon reaching Windhoek in the evening, you'll gather at a luxurious restaurant to relax and reflect on all your unforgettable experiences. Overnight stay at Windhoek.

After 8 days of exploring through the hidden gems and famous sights of Namibia, it is time to bid goodbye not only to this stunning part of the world but also to the new friends that you have made along the way on this tour. You will make arrangements to take you to the airport for your flight back home and look forward to exploring another part of the beautiful world once again.
